I saw a picture of a beautiful menu chalkboard on UppercaseLiving.com and just had to have one in my home. The problem was that I couldn't find a chalkboard that looked elegant and of quality construction that didn't cost a fortune. (I wasn't about to hang one of the cheap boards in my kitchen and try to pass it off as art!) So...I decided to make one myself. I found this old frame and board at Deseret Industries for $4, chalkboard and brown spray $5 at Walmart, and Voila! I did it myself for under $10.
